Job Description:
Vinum is hiring an experienced sales representative to build
upon existing business in the Greater New York City Area, with a
focus in Brooklyn. (vinumusa.com)Prior sales experience working on
the wholesale end of the wine industry is strongly preferred. We're
looking for someone who is passionate about wine-especially from
emerging regions in Central and Southeastern Europe-and is eager to
grow with a tight-knit and collaborative team.About Us:Vinum is a
specialized wine importer dedicated to championing regionally
authentic and independent producers from Central and Southeastern
Europe- specifically within countries of former Yugoslavia. Founded
in 2003, our mission is to showcase wines that reflect the diverse
geography and cultural history within these regions, through wines
made in the most authentic and expressive methods and a deep
respect for their land.We are the leading U.S. importer of wines
from these regions and our portfolio reflects our passion for
authenticity, discovery, as well as wines that carry
approachability and drinkability. The wines from this part of the
world deserve a place on everyone's table and we feel strongly that
our wines should be accessible and enjoyable by all.
Qualifications:ALL Existing network of buyers and clientele Strong
understanding of the regional marketplace and competitive
landscape. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Team-oriented with a solutions-focused mindset. Organized and
detail-oriented; strong follow-through. Proficient with basic
computer tools and CRM software. Able to manage time effectively
and juggle multiple accounts.Duties and Responsibilities: Manage
and grow relationships with on- and off-premise accounts through
regular in-person visits and follow-up. Develop a deep
understanding of Vinum's unique portfolio of wines and their
cultural context from ex-Yugo countries (Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia,
Bosnia & Herzegovina, etc.) Represent our producers with
passionately with authenticity and enthusiasm to drive sales. Place
strong emphasis on education and information support to continue
elevating the perception of these lesser-known wine regions. Stay
current on industry trends and regional developments to support
buyer education. Use internal tools and systems to support
inventory, order processing, and account management. Work closely
with the rest of the Vinum team-sales, operations, marketing-to
help shape the direction of our growing brand. Perform other
