Java Architect (mid-level experience) - Job Description:
 
This position involves leading a team of technical employees, specifically with Java (leading 6-10 1-3 years of Architect experience.  Someone who has come through the development ranks.
 
 
Required Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a directly related field.
• Senior Software Engineering experience for 7+ Years
• 1+ years of experience in systems design/architecture
• Strong Object Oriented Programming (Java) Experience
• Good experience in defining and designing integrations
• Experience with JEE Stacks (eg. Weblogic, Websphere, JBoss, etc    - WebSphere Preferred)
• Experience with Database Modeling, Deployment and Tuning
• Sizing and Performance Tuning of n-tier Web Applications
• Good experience with JavaScript and designing and implementing Web RIA (eg. JQuery)
• Ability to design XML Schemas and Web Service WSDL
• Experience developing enterprise level systems.
 
 
Preferred Experience
• Experience with Migration of EJBs to POJOs
• Federated Security (eg. Kerberos)
• Server and Bandwidth Sizing
• Security Vulnerability assessment
• Open source projects
• Experience with designing 24x7 Deployments
• Disciplined programming using TDD (Test First Development)
• Server and Bandwidth Sizing
• Experience with test Frameworks (eg. Selenium, Watij, HP-QTP)
