Assessment Skills: Utilize your comprehensive knowledge of growth and development from Pediatric to Geriatric to deliver appropriate patient care. Conduct thorough, systematic, and accurate assessments.
Clinical Skills: Demonstrate competent clinical skills through direct patient care activities. Provide appropriate nursing care, and showcase knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.
Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate documentation. Assume responsibility for documenting the nursing process and patient progress, including patient education.
Professionalism: Exhibit professional practice responsibility and identify areas for clinical and professional growth. Adhere to policies and procedures.
Patient Satisfaction: Engage with patients, families, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner. Promote a patient-centered environment and maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
Safety: Follow National Patient Safety Goals, utilize safe transfer techniques, and ensure proper body mechanics for self and patients.
Unit Specific Job Function: Demonstrate knowledge of surgical conditions/diagnoses, procedures, and equipment. Individualize patient care based on procedure and anesthesia type.
Responsibility and Accountability: Contribute to the perioperative team by prioritizing patient care based on needs and condition changes.
Patient Education and Chart Completion: Assess patient understanding of surgical procedures and actively involve patients and family members in teaching.
Duties Specific to PAT RN: Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.
