Job Description:

As a Floor Manager, you will oversee the operations of a restaurant in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.Key Responsibilities:

• Managerial:
  • Coach and counsel employees, conduct disciplinary discussions, and interview applicants for employment.
  • Direct daily work activities, including floor plans, section assignments, and side work.
  • Monitor and manage discrepancies in register transactions.
  • Ensure overall grooming and service standards for staff.
  • Service:
    • Communicate guest-related issues to service staff and culinary team.
    • Support staff with tasks, resolve operational issues, and communicate with General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
    • Personalize service by leading by example and building relationships with guests.
    • Product Presentation:
      • Ensure high-quality food and beverage presentation.
      • Assist with inventory management and maintain the freshness and look of floral arrangements.
      • Labor Management:
        • Direct daily work activities and review staff performance and attendance.
        • Set a positive example and mentor staff in business and personnel management.
        • Support the management team to uphold service and hospitality standards.
        • Administrative:
          • Monitor menu accuracy and ensure POS postings are up-to-date.
          • Respond to company emails in a professional manner.
          • Participate in Avero reports and follow up on needed repairs.
          • Financial:
            • Develop revenue increase ideas and train staff on up-selling techniques.
            • Monitor and manage registers between shifts.
            • Self-Development:
              • Maintain current knowledge of the restaurant industry and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
              • Develop education goals with prior management approval and the company will assist with any necessary education.
              • Requirements:
                • Teamwork and personal cleanliness.
                • Food handling, preparation, and cleaning skills.
                • Communication and understanding of direction in English.
                • Time management and ability to work under pressure.
